25 Midjourney Prompts for Fantasy Landscapes

I spent countless hours creating fantasy worlds in Midjourney, and these 25 prompts are my absolute favorites. Each one helps build a different magical setting – from misty mountains with floating islands to cozy cabins tucked away in glittering snow.

When I first started with Midjourney, my prompts were pretty basic. But over time, I learned that small details in the prompt text can make a huge difference.

Things like mentioning the lighting, adding atmospheric effects, or including tiny details like “fireflies floating through the air” can transform an ordinary scene into something special.

Each prompt in this collection uses Midjourney v6.1 and a 4:3 aspect ratio, which I found works really well for these types of scenes.

Fantasy Landscape Prompts

1. Floating Islands at Dawn

I added “cinematic style” to get that sweeping, epic feel you see in movies. The fog helps blend everything naturally.

These prompts are just starting points. They work well as they are, but you can change small parts to make them your own. Switch up the colors, adjust the weather, or add your own magical elements.

I’ve found that sometimes the best images come from happy accidents – when Midjourney interprets things slightly differently than what I imagined.
