Floral Close Up Photo Prompt for ChatGPT
Floral close up portraits have a specific look to them. The flowers sit right against the lens, half of them out of focus, and the face stays soft and clear behind all that blur.
The trick is telling ChatGPT exactly where the flowers are, how blurry they should be, and how the light hits the face. Without those details you just get a normal portrait with some flowers stuck in the background.
Below is the template I use, followed by three finished prompts built on it. Upload your own photo first, then paste any of these in.

1. Pink Cosmos at Golden Hour
This is the closest match to the classic version of this shot, with tall stems and a pale sky behind.
Create a close-up portrait of the person in the uploaded photo, keeping the face, features, hairline and skin tone exactly the same. Pale pink cosmos flowers on thin bending stems fill the foreground, with two or three blooms sitting very close to the lens and falling completely out of focus so they blur across the edges of the frame. She is standing among the flowers with her head tilted slightly to one side and her chin lowered, with a calm half smile and her eyes looking straight into the camera. She is wearing a plain black long sleeve top, and her hair is long, dark and loose with a few strands blowing across her cheek. Shoot at eye level using an 85mm lens with a wide aperture and shallow depth of field, so only the face stays sharp. Lighting is warm low golden hour sun coming from the side, catching one cheek and the edge of her hair. The background is a clear pale blue evening sky above the flower field, softly blurred. The color palette is dusty pink, warm skin tones and soft blue. The overall mood is quiet and dreamy, shot in a natural film photography style with fine natural film grain. Use aspect ratio 4:5.

2. Cherry Blossom Branches Overhead
Branches work differently from stems. They come in from the top and frame the face from above.
Create a close-up portrait of the person in the uploaded photo, keeping the face, features, hairline and skin tone exactly the same. Pale pink cherry blossom branches fill the foreground from above, with two or three clusters sitting very close to the lens and falling completely out of focus so they blur across the edges of the frame. She is looking up toward the branches with her chin lifted and her eyes closed, a small natural smile on her face. She is wearing a soft beige cardigan over a white top, and her hair falls straight back over her shoulders. Shoot from a slightly high angle using an 85mm lens with a wide aperture and shallow depth of field, so only the face stays sharp. Lighting is bright diffused daylight filtering through the blossoms, dappling gently across her face. The background is more blossom branches against a pale white sky, softly blurred. The color palette is blush pink, soft brown and off white. The overall mood is light and gentle, shot in an editorial portrait style with fine natural film grain. Use aspect ratio 4:5.

3. Orange Marigolds Up Close
Marigolds are dense and round, so they blur into thick blobs of color right at the frame edge.
Create a close-up portrait of the person in the uploaded photo, keeping the face, features, hairline and skin tone exactly the same. Deep orange marigold blooms on short thick stems fill the foreground, with two or three flowers sitting very close to the lens and falling completely out of focus so they blur across the edges of the frame. She is seated on the ground among the plants, leaning forward with her forearms crossed loosely, looking straight into the camera with a soft, direct expression. She is wearing a deep green cotton top with gold jhumka earrings, and her hair is parted in the middle and falls straight down both sides. Shoot at eye level using an 85mm lens with a wide aperture and shallow depth of field, so only the face stays sharp. Lighting is warm afternoon sunlight from the right, with soft shadows across the left side of her face. The background is a marigold garden with terracotta pots barely visible, softly blurred. The color palette is marigold orange, deep green and warm brown. The overall mood is rich and grounded, shot in a candid lifestyle style with fine natural film grain. Use aspect ratio 1:1.

Swap the flower, the light and the clothing and you can keep pulling new versions out of the same template. The one part worth keeping every time is the line about blooms sitting close to the lens and going out of focus, because that is what makes the shot look real instead of pasted together.
