Studio portraits are one of my favorite things to create. There’s something special about controlled lighting, clean backdrops, and getting to focus entirely on capturing the subject. Every small detail matters, from the way someone stands to how light falls across their face.

Google recently launched Gemini’s new Nano Banana Pro model, and I have to say, it’s impressive. The difference is real. It adds more realism to generated images, and you can see why Google is calling it their best image model right now.

If you want to try it out, head to gemini.google.com, start a new conversation, then select “Thinking with 3 Pro” and type your prompt. If you want to use a reference photo, just upload it. Then use one of the prompts below.

These prompts have worked really well for me when I’m working with Gemini’s Nano Banana Pro. The key is being specific about what you want. Details matter, lighting matters, and the way you describe clothing and posture makes a real difference in the output.

Play around with these. Change colors if you want. Try different poses. The model responds well to clear descriptions, so don’t be afraid to tweak things based on what you’re looking for.
